MY BLOG: Every day for a year.
Day 64. ‘Sorry Business’

A good productive day in the studio today after yesterday’s nervy eggshell dance from me. Whilst I knew my two Kelpies were safe, it took a little while to determine where they had been evacuated to. I am incredibly grateful to the Granite Hills kennels for excellent care.
Here in Doomadgee, we had a ‘sorry day,’ an Aboriginal custom and cultural practice when somebody dies. As a mark of respect, the entire town shuts down for half the day. I have settled into life here really well. It’s a privilege to be accepted amongst the community and I am enjoying being here. A long but rewarding day, my pillow is already calling my name. 🙂

Until tomorrow!
