Day 125 ‘And then there was one’

It’s weird coming back to just me. It’s not that I particularly seek strength or comfort in numbers, it just feels far too self-centered to be on the stage alone. (That’s just my weirdness, not a comment on soloists. ) But alone I will be for the foreseeable future, so I’m just putting that in the “don’t think about it box.” My poor Maton performer has been taking the brunt of my jiggery-pokery as I slap it into the desired shape. A musical colleague remarked, “it’s a guitar, stop expecting it to be more than it is. ”
But it’s my orchestra! Tightly contained, but never the less it needs to be big and small and delicate and ferocious. I’m not sure how other guitarists think to be honest, and in the end, it probably does not matter……..unless it doesn’t work 🙂 🙂 🙂 If you’re in Melbourne on the 14th of May, I’ll be experimenting live for the Melbourne Blues Appreciation Society. Ya know………………the more I blog, the more aware I become of cliches n stuff! It would be the normal protocol to sign off, “would love to see you there.” And of course I would, it goes without saying that playing to chairs isn’t a whole lotta fun. 🙂 But I truly can’t find an original way to invite people to a performance………and this is my blog, not a poster ad so I’m just blurting that out 🙂 I’ll try to be more inventive when I post a concert invite. Rightio, this is Ms Wafflelots signing off to go find my guitar that’s gone into hiding 🙂

Until tomorrow!
Thank you for listening.
